Helbreath Fury

What it is

The website of Helbreath Fury, a Helbreath private server. The home page shows the server's banner over the news, newest first, and there are Register, Download and Cash Shop pages. Register and Cash Shop are forms only: they are not wired to a game database yet.

The news is kept from the site itself: after signing in on the admin page, each news item on the home page gets Add, Modify and Delete buttons.

How it's built

A small PHP site over MySQL, under 600 lines in all, with the shared helpers in one functions.php.

• News in MySQL: one news table, read and written through PDO prepared statements, and escaped when shown.
• Admin login by password, checked with password_verify against a hash kept in the settings file, never in the repository.
• Small helpers for the navbar, the cards, the session, redirects and reading GET / POST values, shared by every page.
• Saving a news item redirects back to the page, so a refresh does not post it again.
• Brought back in 2026: to publish it on kazin.dev I moved the database login and the admin hash into a git-ignored config.php, gave the pages lowercase names, escaped the news on output and added a one-command deploy.
