Sunny Pro
What it is
Sunny Pro is a set of tools for you and your team's productivity: notes you edit live together, tasks, calendar, finances, custom shortcuts and commands for your device, AI tools your team prompts together live, notifications on desktop and phone, and a drive for sharing files. All in one app, on the web, the desktop and the phone. Its slogan is "Productivity made light". It started as papp (personal app), still its name in the code; Sunny Pro is the name it will carry on the stores.
For you
- Notes edited live: documents and canvases where everyone in a note sees the others' edits and cursors as they type. PDFs can be dropped in to keep or turn into documents, and notes come in from Notion, Obsidian, Google Keep, Google Docs and Todoist.
- Tasks as a list, a graph of subtasks, a board (to do, in progress, finished) and habits, with due dates, repeats and alarms, plus a focus timer (pomodoro) that logs the time spent on each task.
- Calendar by month, week or day, synced both ways with Google, iCloud or Nextcloud calendars, and a clock with alarms, timers and a stopwatch.
- Finances: what you hold, what you are owed and owe, fixed monthly payments and savings goals, across currencies.
- Bookmarks that notice broken links, with a read-later list and a browser extension that saves pages, adds notes on parts of a page and hides what distracts you on any site.
- Home with today's agenda, overdue tasks, recent notes and the month's payments, and a Ctrl+K palette that searches everything and runs commands.
Your device, your shortcuts
- Custom shortcuts and commands based on context: the Manager (kmgr) is a command and hotkey manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. A prompt bar runs commands, global hotkeys run your own, and they act on what is in front of you: the active window, the desktop you are on, the app that just came to the front.
- It moves, centres and arranges windows and virtual desktops, runs macros, and its console shows what every command did. Your own commands live in mods outside the app, so they stay yours.
For your team
- Projects: each one with its own notes, tasks, meetings, calendar, files and deploys, and invite links for people to join.
- Live prompting for AI: while someone works with Claude, the team sees their prompts and Claude's answers as they happen, can comment on a prompt or suggest the next one, and can watch or take over a shared Claude window. A conversation can be shared or handed off to another computer to carry on there.
- Who is doing what: each person's work in progress, and the overlaps when two people are about to touch the same thing, so they talk before they collide.
- Review: every screenshot, video and test result Claude's sessions make, in one place, marked as reviewed by each person, with comments; plus the test runs, the features in progress and the tokens used.
Everywhere
- Notifications on desktop and phone for tasks, calendar, alarms, habits, the focus timer, payments, shared notes, projects and Claude sessions, even with the app closed, plus a daily digest.
- A drive with file sharing: this computer's disks, your cloud files and each project's files side by side, with share links, sync with your PC and Google Drive.
- Each section can be turned off or renamed, every account keeps its own data, and sign-in has two-factor.
How it's built
One Next.js 15 and React 19 app over PostgreSQL (Prisma), served by its own Node server that also carries the live notes over a WebSocket. The same app runs on the desktop (Electron) and on Android and iOS (Capacitor).
- Live notes: a notes framework of its own, used by both the personal notes and every project's notes.
- The Manager: a command engine with mods and a CLI, helped by a small C++ native helper for windows, desktops and hotkeys on each system.
- Notifications: one notice system that every section feeds, delivered through Web Push, Firebase (Android) and APNs (iOS).
- Teams and AI: the Projects tab is pmgr, a project manager whose tools are modules, and the Claude tools talk to Claude Code on each developer's computer, sharing only what each person agreed to share.
Why I made it
I wanted the tools that matter for getting things done (notes, tasks, reminders, a drive, a calendar) in one app that works the same for me alone and for a team, and that brings working with AI, Claude, into the team's day as something people do together, live, rather than each one alone off to the side.
